Frequently asked questions

Do you support custom domains?

Yes. You can now map your own domain directly to your IPROG DRIVE site. In addition to custom URLs under our domain (e.g., drive.iprogtech.com/s/yourname), you can connect and use your personal or business domain for a fully branded experience.

What happens to my files?

Your files stay in your Google Drive. We read the folder you approve and stream files through our proxy for delivery. You can revoke access anytime from your Google Account settings.

What counts as a “site”?

Right now, 1 site = 1 connected Google Drive (mapped to a site root like public_html with an index.html). Each site gets a unique URL path like /s/yourname.

How do I add more sites?

Connect another Google Drive account from the dashboard. That becomes another site with its own URL path. (Multi-site from a single Drive by selecting different folders may come later.)

What does “Hosting” include?

We serve your static site over HTTPS from our platform while your files remain in your Drive. No servers to manage, no deploy scripts—just update files in Drive and refresh.

What file types are supported?

Static sites: HTML, CSS, JS, images, fonts, PDFs, audio/video, etc. Server-side code (PHP, Ruby, Node render) isn’t executed—use client-side APIs or third-party services for forms.

How do I update my site?

Option A — Edit in the browser: Open the built-in Code Editor (HTML/CSS/JS), make your changes, then click Deploy. We sync the updated files to your connected Google Drive (e.g. public_html/index.html) and serve the latest version at your site URL.

Option B — Update in Google Drive: Replace or add files directly in your approved Drive folder. Refresh your site to see the changes.

Note: This is a static host—server-side code isn’t executed. Use client-side JS or external services for forms/APIs.

Can I add analytics and control SEO?

Add any analytics snippet (e.g., Google Analytics) to your HTML like a normal static site.

For SEO, include your own <title>, meta tags, and robots directives inside <head>. Public pages are indexable by default.

What permissions do you request from Google?

We request read & write access to the site folder you select. This lets the app:

  • Upload files from the dashboard or built-in Code Editor
  • Create folders (e.g., public_html) and subfolders
  • Update/replace files you manage for that site
  • Serve those files at your public site URL

Access is restricted to that folder (by folder ID)—not your entire Drive. You can revoke permissions anytime in your Google Account.

Technical: we use OAuth tokens and minimal Drive scopes (e.g., drive.file) to read/write files/folders you create or explicitly select.

What’s the difference between my site URL and shared links TTL?

Your site URL (e.g., /s/yourname) stays live while your account is active. Shared links generated from the dashboard have an expiration (TTL) based on your plan.

Can I change plans or cancel anytime?

Upgrades/Downgrades: You can change plans anytime from the Billing page.

Cancellation: Email iprog.tech+drive@gmail.com from your account email and include your site URL/slug. We’ll confirm and stop future charges; your site stays active until the end of your current billing period.
